One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to explore new places with new people. What better place to explore and get to know one another than the epic landscape that is Bozeman, Montana?! Wes and Raeleigh were such a joy to be around; I was honored to get to capture another chapter in their love story. This Bozeman, Montana adventure session was one for the books.
Raeleigh and I first connected on Instagram; I couldn’t wait to spend time with her and Wes in the mountains. We met in the City of Bozeman, which had ample trails and locations to choose from. Bozeman had everything we were looking for in this dreamy adventure session. You wouldn’t guess from the pictures, but we were pretty close to the city during this shoot. Bozeman is known as “the most livable place” – boasting dramatic landscapes, fly fishing, Yellowstone National Park, and endless outdoor activities throughout all seasons. The city prides itself in connecting its residents to the outdoors; there are numerous trails that lead directly from Main Street into the mountains. Gallatin Valley Land Trust collaborated with Bozeman & “dozens of public and private organizations to expand the Main Street to the Mountains system to over 80 miles of trails.”
Preserving the integrity of public lands is a cause that I don’t take lightly. As a Leave No Trace photographer, understanding the importance of protecting what is left of our Earth and sharing with others fuels my passion even further. Being able to tell the stories of the couples I meet in places that take my breath away remind me of how truly blessed I am to be in this career. Wrapping up the session with Wes and Raeleigh, the golden light amidst the cloud-covered skies (due to the wildfires) made for the most incredible images for this Bozeman, Montana adventure session.
