To say that I am always down for an adventure would be the understatement of the century. Whether a couple is my destination or a pitstop on my way passing through, I’m not one to turn down the opportunity. Last month, my boyfriend, Ethan, and I flew to Seattle to rent a van and travel the Olympic peninsula for a week. (Stay tuned for more on this later 🤩) I couldn’t wait to head out west as soon as I booked this Washington Coast Sunrise Adventure Session!

As a full-time elopement and adventurous couples photographer, I am lucky enough to be able to travel for both business and pleasure. No matter what my purpose is for traveling, I am always certain to market where I’ll be traveling to. There’s just something about capturing a couple so deeply in love, in a place so near-and-dear to their hearts. A while before Ethan and I set off on our adventure, Gigi and I connected on Instagram and began planning an adventurous couples session. Gigi and Michael are a husband-wife photography & videography duo who were looking for a little getaway from their sweet kiddos. Talk about perfect timing!

Ruby Beach Adventure Session on the Washington Coast

Gigi, Michael, and I met up at Ruby Beach near Olympic National Park for the sweetest sunrise session. I still cannot wrap my head around how breathtaking the rocky coast is. The way the beach meets the dramatic, towering forest is such a beautiful sight. In true Washington fashion, the skies were cloudy but the sun still peeked through – casting beautiful light over the jagged rocks. Gigi and Michael were in their element as we frolicked along the shoreline. When I say that this couple just emits nothing but love and joy for one another, I mean it. Watching how Gigi and Michael love on one another filled my heart with so much joy.

Gigi and Michael’s Washington Coast Sunrise Adventure Session was honestly the perfect example of why I do what I do. I love capturing true, authentic love stories for couples so that in many years to come, they can be taken back to that moment, that feeling.

I can’t recommend exploring Washington enough. The vast diversity of the environment makes it the perfect destination for adventure sessions and elopements. From the dramatic coastline, to the rain forest, and the snowcapped peaks… You can’t go wrong. Capturing unique experiences for the wild and carefree couples is what sets my soul on fire.
