Marissa and Maggie’s intimate Western Wisconsin micro-wedding took place at the historic, quaint New Richmond Heritage Center. I couldn’t think of a more beautiful, timeless couple than these two incredible women. It was such an honor having the opportunity to capture their micro-wedding and provide them with photos that will last a lifetime.
Marissa and Maggie both got ready in the Heritage Center Victorian-style farmhouse with their friends and families. The interior of the house gives nods to its historic past with the floral wallpaper, vintage furniture, and incredible covered porch (where they had their first look). Feeling the history surrounding us as Marissa and Maggie went about their day was a feeling I can’t quite describe. There are 11 historic buildings on the grounds, including a little village, the barn, and grain storage. This venue was absolutely perfect for what Marissa and Maggie were hoping to get out of their day. When we first connected, they let me know how important it was that they had classy, timeless photos that they could display in their home. So when taking their romantics, we took full advantage of all that the Heritage Center had to offer.
After we took our time with romantics, it was time for Marissa and Maggie to tie the knot. They got married surrounded by roughly 40 of their closest friends and family beneath a gazebo. Their ceremony was simple and full of so much love and personality. In lieu of a unity candle, they opted for a time capsule that they will open in the future together. Once the “I do’s” were said, the guests headed to the Pavilion for the yummiest charcuterie spread.
Marissa and Maggie looked absolutely stunning for their intimate Western Wisconsin micro-wedding. Somehow, their modern outfits still looked flawless with the historic venue. Marissa wore an elegant off-the-shoulder lace gown; it fit her like a glove. Maggie’s taupe suit and floral tie added such a fun twist to the “traditional” black and white suit options. Even with the newlyweds looking like 100 bucks, the smiles that spread across both of their faces all day looked even better.
