Holy sh*t, I started a PODCAST! Welcome to the Ready to Wander Podcast with your host, Sydney Breann. To say that I am glad you’re here would be an understatement. If you haven’t been following along on Instagram (@readytowanderpodcast), this might come as a surprise to you! But if you have been keeping up with my journey, then you’ll know just how stoked I am to finally be uploading content for YOU! I wanted to use this first episode as an opportunity for my listeners, readers, clients, and outdoor enthusiasts alike to get the goods – wherever you might be. So let’s dive into the Ready to Wander Podcast with Sydney Breann.
First and foremost, this will be a shorter episode just to show you my vision, heart, and passions. Okay, now for real – let’s dive in! You may find yourself wondering:
Well, for starters… I am a 23 year old elopement and intimate wedding photographer based out of Kalispell, Montana. My fiancé (Ethan) and I recently moved to Montana from Minnesota and couldn’t be happier. I am passionate about my business, photography, the outdoors, and conservation. When I’m not immersed in the aforementioned, you can find me outdoors fly-fishing, hiking, exploring national parks, or camping in our tiny 2-person tent.
As I mentioned, I am a full-time elopement and intimate wedding photographer based in Montana, but I travel around the U.S. for about 25% of my elopements! This is my 7th year as a photographer in the wedding industry, and I’m so eager to share the knowledge I’ve been collecting in my brain. Having spent many years traveling for my job (and because of my overwhelming love for the outdoors), I’ve also learned many tips and tricks. I can’t wait to share some of my epic adventures to give you some traveling inspiration.
For my listeners and readers, I want this to be a place for you to escape from the daily hustle-and-bustle. Here, you can find inspiration for trips and travels. Let’s dream together – no matter where you’re listening from. You can also count on entertaining stories from my travels (and trust me when I tell you: some of them are hard to believe).
Combining my biggest passions in life is such a surreal experience. So you know that I’ll be chatting alllll about my photography business, how I became a booked-out elopement photographer who gets to travel for her job, and providing motivation + tips to help you start your own biz! (Psst: Have questions? CLICK HERE to send me an email – I might even answer your question on the podcast.)
Mentioned above, it’s not too difficult to figure out what made me want to start a podcast. I constantly feel like I have far too many ideas floating around in my head + exploding with knowledge. The desire I have to share what I’ve learned is far too great to keep to myself. When I first started my business, I wished that I had a community of other business owners and elopement photographers to encourage me and provide the kind of information you can only get from a well-seasoned pro. That’s what I want to be for my listeners.
I want to share all about the passion and creativity surrounding photography. But I also want to share the joys and pitfalls of being a business owner (because let’s be honest, it’s not always easy). Having the opportunity to connect with people across the globe who have similar interests is a beautiful kind of dream. This space on the Internet is meant to be a safe space to learn, create, and connect – you deserve it! And if you love the outdoors, good stories, and dreaming of your next adventure, this is where you’re meant to be.
Wow, I just can’t thank you enough for being here! So let’s cut the chase about what you can expect from the Ready to Wander Podcast.
