There’s something so romantic and magical about getting married among the mountains. Madison and Brice’s Big Sky, Montana intimate mountain wedding was nothing short of exactly that. Somehow, we experienced all possible weather conditions imaginable; from fog to rain, sunshine and snow, we had it all. For an early May wedding, we didn’t know what to expect, but it was a memorable experience for all.
Madison and Brice traveled from Ohio wanting to get married with a snow-capped mountain view, and boy did Big Sky deliver. I don’t know if a better location for their day could’ve even existed. They hosted their intimate wedding ceremony and dinner at their Airbnb, steps away from Beehive Basin. Every second of their day had views that were indescribable. But I’m getting a bit ahead of myself.
On the morning of Madison and Brice’s intimate mountain wedding, they had a sweet first look. What made their first look so unique was actually that Brice had drawn a little picture of what he thought Madison’s dress would look like. Spoiler alert: it was pretty spot on! After their first look, we headed down to Ousel Falls for some hiking and romantics. Ousel Falls looked a bit different than the last time I had photographed an elopement there! I was able to sneak away from the the Madison and Brice for some epic shots + to give them some time to explore.
When we arrived back at their Airbnb lodge, they had their intimate wedding ceremony overlooking the immaculate views. As they said ‘I do’, you could see Lone Peak, Big Sky, and Beehive Basin. The rest of the evening was filled with love, intention, and celebration. The newlyweds were able to have a delicious catered meal, look through some photos, and reminisce with their families. After some dancing on the deck during blue hour, I was able to steal Madison and Brice away for a little bit to sneak some lantern photos beneath Lone Peak.
Madison and Brice’s Big Sky, Montana intimate mountain wedding may not have had the “perfect” weather most couples dream of. But they really made the most of it. And hey, not too many couples have wedding photos in the snow, rain, fog, and sunshine.
