When it comes to eloping in Glacier National Park, I’m yet to find a location that doesn’t absolutely blow me away. While there are certainly more ‘popular’ locations within the park to tie the knot, I love when a couple chooses somewhere a little different. When Courtney and Doug planned their dreamy Many Glacier summer elopement, I was pumped. We were spoiled with a warm summer day, and views that didn’t quit.
Courtney and Doug’s big day began in the cutest tiny house. They kept their morning sweet and simple. Courtney’s mom helped her get ready, which was really just such a special moment to witness. I don’t know about you, but it’s moments like getting ready, or a first look with parents that brings me to tears. You spend your whole life waiting to get married, witnessing your own parents’ love story. And before you know it, they watch your own love story unfold. Ugh – I could go on and on.
After Courtney and Doug’s morning of first looks and family photos, we headed into the park. We were so blessed by the warm June weather and clear skies as we drove around the park to Many Glacier. While Many Glacier Hotel is a popular destination, we headed to the southwest beach for their ceremony. One of my favorite moments of the day was them doing rock-paper-scissors to decided who read their vows first! Spoiler alert: Courtney lost.
After Courtney and Doug were officially Mr. and Mrs., they enjoyed an intimate picnic on a classic picnic table, reminiscing on their day up until that point. They even had a cake to cut with the most adorable cake topper! Once they were fueled up, we hiked to Lake Josephine for sunset. I still cannot wrap my head around how BANGING the sunset with alpenglow was. We then wrapped their dreamy Many Glacier summer elopement up with some blue hour portraits. There’s something so rad about a blue hour stroll accompanied by the light of lanterns. Uff.
