Just when I think I couldn’t possibly love my job anymore, another couple comes into my life. As a Montana elopement and intimate wedding photographer, it’s pretty much a guarantee that any couple that inquires with me loves the mountains. Deirrien and Mason were no exception! These two lovers added to another chapter in their love story surrounded by their closest people during their sunrise mountain microwedding at Lake Josephine in Glacier National Park.
Deirrien and Mason traveled all the way from Indiana to their beloved Glacier National Park. Believe it or not, they became engaged at another lake in GNP – Avalanche Lake. So witnessing their story come full circle was a beautiful thing. The day began at a sweet little cabin just outside the park. Under the bluest sky, just before the sun had even reached the shores of Lake Josephine, Deirrien and Mason exchanged vows in the presence of their people. Almost immediately after sealing the deal with a kiss, the sun peaked through the towering pines for their intimate first dance. Pure kismet.
One of my favorite parts of Deirrien and Mason’s sunrise mountain microwedding at Lake Josephine was that they had the opportunity to share their favorite place with so many of their loved ones. It’s not everyday that I get to hike with a crew around Glacier! We had the best time basking in the sunshine, stopping to smell the wildflowers, and soaking up every picturesque view along the way. I felt like I was just along for the ride; documenting little moments in the mountains.
