The perfect Fall day in Glacier National Park is hard to come by, but we absolutely stumbled upon it during Emma and Devin’s wedding day. Between the warm morning glow of sunshine seeping through the towering pines during the couple’s first touch and the most perfect sunset at Logan Pass, I was in awe the entire day. With just 27 of their loved ones surrounding them, Emma and Devin’s Avalanche Amphitheater intimate wedding in Glacier National Park was a sweet way to kick off Fall in the mountains.
Avalanche Amphitheater Intimate Wedding
Emma and Devin’s first big trip together was to Glacier National Park, so it only made sense to say “I do” in a place as picturesque and monumental as GNP. When their day arrived, I think we were all astonished at just how absolutely perfect the weather was. Most seasons in the mountains are unpredictable, but especially Fall. Coming from the Midwest, Emma and Devin are no strangers to cold weather, but it felt like such a blessing to be able to enjoy a day full of sunshine in Glacier National Park.
After a morning spent getting ready, Emma strolled into the woods to exchange vows with Devin and to share their first touch. Warm sunbeams shined through the pines, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The emotions ran high as they read their heartfelt vows to one another, and it was just beautiful and intentional. Private vows are one of my favorite moments in a wedding day, whether a first look is included or not. There are so many emotions and jitters on a wedding day — and really, you just want to hear your person and pour your heart out (without the eyes of others).

Once Emma and Devin had a few more moments together, it was time to head to their intimate wedding ceremony at Avalanche Amphitheater. Emma walked down the aisle with her father, as Devin waited at the alter. Once again, perfect light seeped through the trees overhead as guests lovingly watched Emma and Devin say, “I do”. As soon as it was official, guests popped champagne to celebrate the newlyweds. It was such a fun, low-key way to commemorate Emma and Devin before parting ways with loved ones for the afternoon.
After wrapping up family and friend portraits, it was time to snag the newlyweds away for a little adventure around Glacier National Park. Our first stop was Big Bend for some iconic mountain bridal portraits. I feel like a broken record mentioning it, but wow I could not get enough of the warm lighting during this entire day! Soft specks of gold dotted the valley at Big Bend, reminding us that colder days were ahead. But in that moment, it felt like Summer was still on our side. We then headed to Logan Pass where we spotted mountain goats frolicking on the mountainside. It’s not a Glacier National Park wedding without wildlife sightings, after all!
Emma and Devin’s early Fall wedding concluded at Sun Point, where we were spoiled with slivers of peach painted along the mountains, as the sun dipped beyond. Their day really couldn’t have been more magical or intimate. Capturing Emma and Devin’s Avalanche Amphitheater intimate wedding in Glacier National Park was a dream. There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing the love between two people flourish, and having the opportunity to document each stolen kiss, giggle, or whisper of “we’re married”.
