You know those moments when you meet someone fully knowing your paths should’ve crossed sooner, but they just didn’t? That was exactly how it felt connecting with Mackenzie. After attending the same college during the same time, it only took several years for our paths to actually cross. It never gets old photographing a fellow Minnesotan couple. Mackenzie and Conner’s ethereal intimate wedding in Glacier National Park was every bit as sweet as they come.
Intimate Wedding in Glacier National Park | 7 Mile Pullout Ceremony
Mackenzie and I bonded over the fact that we both attended school in Duluth at the same time several years ago. She was in the graduate program, while I was studying for undergrad. While chatting on our inquiry call, we were blown away that we had never crossed paths with one another. Forever a big fan of the invisible string theory.
Makenzie and Conner’s Glacier National Park elopement first began with getting ready at their Columbia Falls, Montana Airbnb. Mackenzie’s off-the-shoulder gown couldn’t have been more perfect for her. And Conner’s chocolate brown suit was such a fun, tasteful pop of color for eloping in the mountains. Once the bride and groom were done getting ready separately, it was time to head to 7 Mile Pullout for their intimate wedding ceremony.
We were blessed with warm sunshine on the shores of Lake McDonald during the ceremony. There was no shortage of laughter or happy tears, especially when the couple’s son made his way to his parents as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. It was such a special, touching wedding ceremony. Following the ceremony, we did group photos (with a little break for the kiddos to dip their toes in the lake) before parting ways for the afternoon.

The warm sunshine stuck around for bridal portraits at Big Bend, Logan Pass, and one of my favorite pullouts along Going to the Sun Road. Because it was early Fall in Northwest Montana, we were even spoiled with brilliant yellow aspens making their long-awaited appearance. But the best part of Mackenzie and Conner’s ethereal intimate wedding in Glacier National Park was strolling through a forest of pines, with the last bits of afternoon sunlight peeking through. It was the perfect ending to their day, and definitely accomplished the “Twilight vibes” that Mackenzie was searching for.
