Mikeena and Bronson’s intimate North Shore, Minnesota elopement was everything that they had dreamt up for their special day. The love and support surrounding them was such a beautiful thing to be in the presence of. Each moment of their day was full of the utmost intentionality and sentimentality. 

Mikeena and Bronson started their day by getting ready in separate rooms at the VRBO cabin they rented for their day. Once they were ready, they shared a first look and exchanged vows among tall grasses surrounded by the lush green trees at their VRBO. Their private vows were followed by a traditional smudging ceremony on the shores of Lake Superior, performed by one of their brothers. They chose to get married beneath two trees that formed a perfect arch. The smudging ceremony made everyone feel even more connected to the beautiful nature surrounding us. The traditional wedding ceremony was officiated by the other brother overlooking the endless Lake Superior. 

North Shore Elopement

The celebration that followed Mikeena and Bronson’s ceremony was full of so much joy. Once we wrapped up some family photos, the sweet newlyweds and I wandered the North Shore for their romantics. We even got to snag some photos with Mikeena’s dad’s Corvette – such a vibe. We headed back to the VRBO after their photos where we were greeted with a homemade meal of filet mignon, asparagus, potatoes, and salad. Both of their families came together to prepare the meal which was truly so heartwarming. Everyone gathered at the table in prayer and feasted on the wonderful food. 

Following the traditional cake cutting and first dances, Mikeena, Bronson, and I headed down to Duluth to visit Mikeena’s grandmother. It took every bit of me to not tear up as they gave each other big hugs. We then wrapped up their intimate North Shore, Minnesota elopement with some sunset photos atop a parking garage with the lake in the background. Truly the perfect ending to a perfect day.
