Let me just start this with a disclaimer: you are not ready for how incredible this elopement weekend was. An intimate elopement surrounded by family, a special dinner beneath the pines, and exploring Glacier National Park the next day!? I can think of nothing better. Alexis and Chase’s Montana adventure elopement weekend will forever live in my head and heart.
Alexis and Chase are actually both from Minnesota, but knew right away they wanted to have an intimate celebration in Montana. With 17 of their closest friends and family in tow, they rented a VRBO tucked in the pines near Whitefish, Montana. The VRBO was the most beautiful rustic log cabin complete with a stunning stone chimney. When I arrived to the rental, everyone was finishing getting ready (and taking the last few bites of their waffle brunch). I had the best time capturing all their details; each was so special and added to the dreamy adventurous elopement vibes. Both Alexis and Chase spent some time putting finishing touches on their vows on their separate porches. As Alexis was sharing first looks with her bridesmaids and father, Chase and his brothers toasted to the day ahead.
Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony. Chase walked down the aisle with the couple’s sweet pup, Padfoot. Alexis and Chase’s first look took place surrounded by their friends and family as they met at the altar. My heart absolutely swelled watching Chase see his soon-to-be wife walk towards him. Their ceremony was officiated by Alexis’ stepdad, full of so much love and emotion. After exchanging their sweet vows, it was time to take some more photos. Their bridal party (made up of family only…talk about a tight knit bunch!) was the most supportive, hype group of people.
After taking some couple’s photos, Alexis and Chase headed to an intimate dinner beneath the pines and string lights, surrounded by their people. Every little detail was enough to bring tears to my eyes. They had a family-sized table with a runner topped with eucalyptus arranged beautifully. The vintage glassware and gold silverware looked flawless amongst the warm glow of candlelight. The dinner though?! Incredible. Surrounded by so many beautiful details, a yummy dinner, and the sweetest crowd made the evening even more perfect. We wrapped up the evening with a sparkler wall before Alexis and Chase departed.
The second day of Alexis and Chase’s Montana Fall adventure elopement weekend somehow was just as incredible as day one. We began our day together in the early afternoon to drive into Glacier National Park together. When we arrived at the park, we took some photos at Big Bend and Sun Point, as the haze from the wildfires coated the skies. We continued our adventure together, traveling to Many Glacier and Lake Josephine (where we encountered a couple bears..HA typical Montana wedding). We decided to hike to Lake Josephine where they said some private vows with a hazy sunset as their backdrop. Sharing the beauty of Glacier National Park with Alexis and Chase was seriously so special.
One of my favorite parts of the weekend took place after we parked in Many Glacier Hotel’s parking lot. We took some sunset photos before setting up a little picnic of leftovers on the overlook. After they finished their picnic, we signed their marriage license (fun fact, I’m ordained!). We grabbed some lanterns and took some incredible blue hour portraits by Swiftcurrent Lake. The absolute perfect way to end their Montana Fall adventure elopement weekend.
Parting ways from Alexis and Chase actually made me pretty sad! I loved becoming friends with them and witnessing their beautiful love surrounded by their people. I am so incredibly thankful for couples like these two. And I am so incredibly thankful that this is my job!
