Danielle and Zane’s Glacier National Park Fall engagement session was truly a Montana dream. We couldn’t have asked for a better day to capture their love amongst the mountains. It felt like there wasn’t a cloud in the sky as we ventured to different parts of the park to celebrate Danielle and Zane’s engagement. What an incredible day!
Danielle and Zane live in Minnesota actually, so it was so special getting to experience GNP with some other Minnesota natives! Zach actually proposed at GNP over the summer, so it was even more special for them. If you’ve never experienced Montana in the Fall, let me tell you: it is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. On this particular day, the skies were bright blue, and the sunshine warmed our skin as we traveled around Many Glacier and to Josephine Lake. Lucky for us, the haze that was present from the fires the week before cleared and gave way to some warm golden light as we finished our session. As if the weather wasn’t perfect enough, the Fall colors were out to play. We were in an area that was full of lush pines, but the grasses surrounding us were a vibrant shade of gold and burnt orange.
When we hiked to Josephine Lake, the mountains were reflecting their own shade of golden yellow in the lake for the most incredible view. We felt like we were the only people in the park, it was so calm. After we had had a bear sighting at our first stop, we were hyper aware of every snapping stick 😅 (You will never catch me without my bear spray).
After we hiked out of Josephine Lake, we took in the last of the alpenglow near the Many Glacier Hotel. Danielle changed into a beautiful sage green dress that was perfect against the landscape. I wholeheartedly could’ve spent hours more capturing Danielle and Zane’s Glacier National Park fall engagement session… It’s safe to say I was bummed to part ways when we wrapped up.
Becoming friends with my clients is one of the greatest blessings of being a wedding and elopement photographer. I can’t express enough just how thankful I am of each and every couple I get the chance to work with. If you’re ready to wander and have your own love story captured, I’d love to connect! And as always, let’s be friends on Instagram (@sydneybreannphoto). Are you ready to wander?
