It’s not too often that I photograph a large wedding, but when I do, it’s a party. Presley and Calvin’s Nashville, Tennessee modern rustic wedding at Allenbrooke Farms was definitely one for the books. While you can typically find me photographing elopements and intimate weddings in Montana, I’m always down to jump on a plane and travel. Capturing Presley and Calvin’s day was such an honor and it flew right on by.

It’s always such a joy when couples find me through mutual friends, recommendations, or even just word-of-mouth. So when Presley and Calvin reached out about their Tennessee wedding, I was ecstatic. Every detail that went into their day was filled with intention. The venue had a very chic country vibe that I really haven’t seen much of before. I loved the dusty rose, champagne, and green color palette; it looked perfect against the lush green Tennessee landscape. We really couldn’t have asked for a better day.

As for some of my favorite moments from Presley and Calvin’s modern rustic wedding, it’s hard to narrow them down. Rather than doing a first look, they opted for a first touch where they exchanged gifts. The presence of Christ throughout their wedding day was such a beautiful thing to witness. During their ceremony, they did a foot washing portion which brought tears to my eyes. Witnessing two people so devoted to not only one another, but to God, is just incredible. 

After the “I do’s” were said, and the papers were signed, the evening was spent dancing and eating Cracker Barrel (yes, please). And they branded their initials into a piece of wood. Does it even get more Southern that that!? I’m so humbled and grateful to have photographed Presley and Calvin’s Nashville, Tennessee modern rustic wedding. Thank you to the lovely couple for trusting me with documenting such a pivotal moment in their lives.
