Fall in Northwest Montana is unpredictable at best. So while I always do my best to prepare my couples ahead of time, we never know quite what kind of weather we’ll have until their wedding day arrives. But when I say we hit the jackpot with Hannah and Eric’s East Glacier Park elopement at Sun Point, I mean it. We were spoiled with a morning of full sunshine and an afternoon of moody cloud coverage, but not a drop of rain. While we had to pivot our plans to avoid a thunderstorm on the West Side after the ceremony, we took in endless breathtaking views of alpine lakes, open fields, and towering mountains on the East Side.

East Glacier Park Elopement | Sun Point Wedding Ceremony
Hannah and Eric traveled from Tennessee to Montana to say “I do” and to celebrate their honeymoon. Together, they have 3 lab pups, who made an appearance on a custom-made handkerchief to keep them close while they were back home. Wedding day details are such a fun way to still include your loved ones, even if you’re having a more intimate day. Another of my favorite details from Hannah and Eric’s day was Eric’s turkey feather bow-tie! It was such a fun twist on the traditional black bow-tie.
This sweet couple spent their morning getting ready separately at their Airbnb before sharing a first look among a small grove of trees on the property. Hannah was diligent in choosing accommodations with breathtaking views, and she nailed it. We were able to spend some time wandering the property, seeking out the open fields, tall grasses filled with pheasants, and mountains that Hannah and Eric envisioned as the backdrop for their first look.
After sharing their emotional first look at their Kalispell Airbnb, we made the short drive to Sun Point in Glacier National Park. We saw dark clouds rolling overhead, but luckily, the rain held off as Hannah and Eric exchanged their handwritten vows. Their officiant performed a beautiful ceremony, and allowed for plenty of time for the couple to be present and truly soak up the moment. We were then able to spend some time taking newlywed portraits at Sun Point, relishing in the beauty. Hannah and Eric were such naturals in front of the camera, and couldn’t have been more beautiful together.

Once we wrapped up at Sun Point, Hannah and Eric set up a little picnic blanket to snack on their charcuterie board, sip champagne, and enjoy their wedding cake. The rest of our time together was spent at St. Mary, overlooking the lake before wrapping up at Cut Bank. The highlight of our time at Cut Bank was definitely spotting a moose! It was such a fun way to conclude Hannah and Eric’s East Glacier Park elopement.
