If you’ve been following along with me for awhile, you know how much I love adventuring. I will literally take any opportunity to explore. When my best friend Laura invited me to hang out in the desert, I jumped at the chance. Laura and I were actually already planning to be in Zion National Park where we were shooting a couple elopements. Adding in a Joshua Tree Engagement Session along our route was just a bonus!
As a full-time intimate wedding and elopement photographer based in Montana, I was more than ready to spend some time in the heat. Laura and I road tripped from Orange County, California over to Zion National Park, Utah where we teamed up to shoot some epic elopement content. (In case you missed it, head over to my Zion National Park Fall Elopement). On our way back from Utah, we stopped in Joshua Tree National Park to do some camping, stargazing, and climbing huge boulders. For my first time in Joshua Tree, it was definitely one for the books!
Before leaving the desert, Laura’s couple (Julia and Nick) met us at the visitor’s center for their engagement session. They were seriously so down for anything during their session! Capturing the love of a couple as sweet as these two is always so refreshing. Julia and Nick truly let their personalities shine in their session; they brought their sweet pup and their favorite beverages 😉 Even though I 100% belong in the mountains, this Joshua Tree engagement session was still one for the books.
Thank you so much, Laura Minor Photography for letting me tag along through the desert with you. I can’t wait for our next adventure. Be sure to check out Laura’s blog and Instagram (@lauraminorphotography) for more Southern California content! As always, head over to my Instagram (@sydneybreannphoto) – I’d love to be friends!
