If you know me, you know that I take every chance I get to travel and capture my wonderful clients’ love stories. So when my boyfriend and I headed out for a 2 week road trip from Minnesota to Utah, I was thrilled to schedule an engagement session with Meghan and Jake.
Meghan grew up in Minnesota but had moved to Utah with Jake after they met in the midwest, where Jake was working at the time. They lived up near Salt Lake City, but drove all the way down to Canyonlands National Park and Moab for their Desert Engagement Session! Prior to their session, they let me know that they were passionate about the desert and spent a lot of time in Goblin Valley riding 4×4 trails. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait for this session and to spend time in Canyonlands National Park with this adventurous couple.
One of my favorite parts of this engagement session was seeing Meghan and Jake’s personalities come through. They were sporting their Chacos the entire time (who doesn’t want to be rocking comfy shoes during their engagement session?!) They were naturals in front of the camera, which made my job even more fun. Even though it was an overcast day, we got to see Island in the Sky and catch the last couple hours of sunlight.
Getting the opportunity to capture the love between Meghan and Jake in an epic place was the perfect reminder of how lucky I am to have this as my job. My heart was so full after this road trip and time spent with this beautiful couple.
