You know what I love *almost* more than photographing my clients on the most important day of their lives? Returning clients who ask me to capture even more of their special moments and adventures, like Chelsey and TJ! How this Breckenridge, Colorado adventurous couple’s session came to be is simply kismet. 

I had the pleasure of spending New Year’s Day this year shooting the wedding of Chelsey and TJ. It wasn’t until then that I found out they were headed to Breckenridge on their honeymoon, just a few days later, during the same time that my boyfriend and I were going on a winter road trip in the same place! This sweet couple asked me to capture another pivotal moment in their lives in Colorado as newlyweds on their honeymoon. How could I say no?! 

The Details

My boyfriend and I drove out to Colorado from Southern Minnesota to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as do some ice fishing. Right in the middle of our trip, we planned to head down to Breckenridge to do some more hiking and brewery-hopping (we are definitely not skiers but wanted to check out this winter destination). Breckenridge was perfect for Chelsey and TJ, though, who are avid skiers.

On the day of their shoot, we met in the parking lot of the trailhead. We walked until we found a beautiful, serene spot at the base of the slopes; we took our time as the sparkling snow fell around us (yes, it really was that magical). Capturing Chelsey and TJ in their element was so much fun, and truly so special to be apart of. 

From their winter wedding in the midwest, to their adventurous couple’s session in the snowy mountains of Colorado, we had a blast in the snow.
