While I’m a big Midwest/Western kinda gal, I’ll never turn down an opportunity to travel to a new place. So when Tess and Justin reached out wanting to schedule an Acadia National Park adventure session, I was eager to hop on a plane and fly to Maine. And let me tell you, it was 100% worth it.

Tess and Justin already had plans to be in Maine for a friend’s wedding. They also just happened to be celebrating their one year wedding anniversary around the same time. Everything came together perfectly for them to be able to have some epic photos to commemorate not only their trip, but their anniversary. Tess (a photographer) and Justin are both incredibly adventurous, well-traveled people. Obviously we got along swimmingly. 😉 

Sunrise Adventure Session

I loved how laid back Tess and Justin’s session was. I helped them plan an incredible hike with some portrait location stops along the way. Simply put, I tagged along capturing their hiking adventures in some of the most beautiful spots along the Atlantic coast. Despite an early morning, we made it to the summit as the sun rose above the horizon. The North Bubble in Acadia offered the most immaculate views. The fog hanging over the harbor in the distance added to the mountainous views. We soaked in the morning glow painted along the mountains; it felt like it was painted just for us three to enjoy. 

If you’re headed somewhere for a vacation, honeymoon, or just for the heck of it – ya girl is always down to be a third-wheel. 😉 No, but really. There is something so special and underrated about having professional photos from your travels.
