Looking through the images, you would never guess that Courtland and Corbin’s elopement actually took place in April. But hey, when in Montana, you never know what kind of weather you’ll get 😉. It’s safe to say that their Big Sky, Montana frozen waterfall elopement was an adventure they’ll never forget. Their day was a perfect blend of adventure and intimacy. It was truly an honor to spend the day with them.
Although Courtland and Corbin’s day was just over a month ago, I will definitely continue to reminisce on their day. The couple traveled to Montana from Tennessee with 4 of their closest friends to witness their nuptials in front of Ousel Falls. On the afternoon of their elopement, we met up for some getting ready photos and a first look. Courtland and Corbin have a love that is just so evident that they are truly best friends. There’s nothing more special than being in the presence of a couple this in love… (Uff, I love my job 🥹!) On the way to Big Sky, we stopped for some portraits with a view of the mountains in the background. Even though Montana is now my home, I don’t think I’ll ever get over the snowcapped mountains that seem to tickle the clouds. They were the perfect backdrop for some sweet romantics.
After we wrapped up some portraits, we made the journey to Ousel Falls. The trail leading to the bottom of the falls was snow-covered, but it really just added to the adventure. If you’ve been here for awhile, you already know how much I love hiking with my couples, so I was stoked to be capturing the moment. Despite the calendar saying “Spring”, we were welcomed with a frozen waterfall to make for a picturesque background for Courtland and Corbin’s ceremony. The sound of rushing water filled the air, snow-capped mountains rested on the horizon, and there was nothing but peace for a moment. As Courtland and Corbin exchanged their vows, I was choking back tears. Their ceremony was so simply and heartfelt, made even more special by their closest friends in attendance.
Once the happy couple was finally married, we all headed back to the vacation rental for cake and pizza. Is there even a better way to end an elopement!? The simplicity of Courtland and Corbin’s Big Sky, Montana frozen waterfall elopement allowed for even more meaningful moments as they soaked up every second of the day. Capturing their day was such a joy to showcase not only the beauty of Montana’s natural landscape, but also the power of love to bring people together from across the country.
