Growing up with a sister, I never would’ve thought that I someday would take her engagement photos. But sure enough, I had the honor of doing just that. My sister, Taylor, found her soulmate in Sam. Having the opportunity to document such a joyous moment in their lives together was something that I will never take for granted. Taylor and Sam’s Montana mountain engagement session took place over a few evenings, giving way to foggy mountain tops and a golden hour amongst the alpine lakes.
Sisters by birth, friends by choice, a bond that words cannot voice.
Through laughter, tears, and all the rest, in each other, we find our best.
From childhood games to secrets shared, a connection so deep, forever declared.
In each other’s hearts, a home we’ve found, asister’s love, forever bound.
It’s no secret that Glacier National Park is one of my favorite places on Earth. Showing Taylor and Sam around GNP was a surreal experience; I remember not so long ago dreaming about exploring Montana with my family when I still lived back in Minnesota. We all spent a week exploring, taking in the sights, and enjoying quality time in my new(ish) home. Because I live so close to Glacier, we were able to head into the park for a couple of nights of snapping photos.
Despite the rain and fog on the first night, we still were able to make the most of it with clear umbrellas and some moody vibes. Night two brought the most beautiful glow of golden sunshine over the alpine lake. After wrapping up photos overlooking the valley below, Taylor and Sam sipped champagne and took in the endless views.
Photographing Taylor and Sam’s Montana mountain engagement session couldn’t have been anymore special. I cannot wait for their wedding day and to celebrate the next chapter in their love story!
