Exploring one of my favorite places with someone visiting for the first time is such a joyful aspect of my job. Capturing Mariela and Kevin’s Glacier National Park engagement photos at Sun Point was no exception! Seeing the park through Mariela’s eyes as she gazed upon it for the first time reignited my love and passion for the park all over again.

Mariela and Kevin traveled all the way from Florida to bask in the glory of a Montana summer. Although Summer is the peak tourist season in Glacier National Park, it truly felt like we had the place to ourselves as we adventured throughout the park. Kevin is no stranger to Northwest Montana, though; he actually grew up coming to GNP as a kid to visit family! It was such a sweet way to pay homage to his upbringing by showing Mariela his favorite place. 

The cherry on top of Mariela and Kevin’s Glacier National Park engagement photos at Sun Point was actually towards the tail end of our time together. When we reached Sun Point, they popped open some champagne while they overlooked St. Mary Lake. As they took in the scenery, the setting sun painted the faces of the mountains in a warm golden hue. The lake was seemingly untouched, and remained a moody shade of navy and indigo.

As a Northwest Montana elopement and intimate wedding photographer, I spend the majority of my time between Kalispell and Glacier National Park. But something I will never tire of is taking in the beauty that is GNP. No matter how many times I explore it, how many times I take photos in the same locations. It just simply doesn’t get old.
