The mountains were calling, so Jenny and Jason answered! These Kansas City lovers knew from the first time they set foot into Montana that they would get married there. While they had never been to Glacier National Park before, they were captivated by the sheer beauty throughout the rest of the state that they thought “why not?”! Capturing their Glacier National Park adventure elopement at Ryan Beach was such a way to welcome October.
Jenny and Jason’s adventure elopement kicked off at the Firebrand hotel in downtown Whitefish. The lighting was perfect in both spaces for some vibey getting ready photos! Jenny wore a stunning lace bodysuit and silk skirt from Linyage, while Jason wore a navy blue plaid suit paired with brown loafers. The seasonal shades within the bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere were the perfect additions to both of their looks!
After wrapping up at the Firebrand, we headed to Belton Stage Park for a beautiful first look with the mountains in the background. Jason had requested epic views throughout the day, so I think we hit the nail on the head by starting out here! We took a few romantics before it was time to head into Glacier National Park and make our way to Ryan Beach on Lake McDonald. Jenny and Jason exchanged personal vows as their siblings and friends looked on, Lake McDonald glistening and as beautiful as ever.
Following Jenny and Jason’s intimate lakeside ceremony, their guests celebrated alongside them with champagne, charcuterie, and sandwiches. When they first started planning their elopement, they intended on it just being the two of them. So it was really special to see how joyful they were to have their closest people celebrating with them. After bellies were full and thirsts were quenched, their friends headed out on their own adventures for the afternoon.
Back at Lake McDonald, Jenny and Jason hopped into a canoe to paddle around for a bit beneath the towering mountains and partly sunny skies. Renting a canoe from Glacier Outfitters was such a fun addition to their elopement. If you’ve been an avid Sydney Breann blog reader, or you follow me over on the ‘Gram, you’ll know how much my husband and I love taking our Packrafts out whenever we get the chance — including during our own elopement! It brought me so much joy to witness Jenny and Jason creating new memories together; I hope that they carry that moment with them for a lifetime.
Jenny and Jason’s Glacier National Park adventure elopement didn’t stop with canoeing! We made our way to Big Bend to soak in the endless views and to frolic in the (dead) fireweed. I don’t think I’ll ever get over just how beautiful the fireweed is, even on its way out in the fall. From the endless magenta blooms during the springtime, to the deep salmon shade during the fall, the fireweed is always a welcome addition to bridal portraits.
Before heading back to Whitefish for a night out on the town, we had to make one final pit stop to drool over the Fall foliage. Going-to-the-Sun Road is always a banger for picturesque views, and this time was no exception! Jenny and Jason ran up and down the road, hand-in-hand, through the tunnel of trees. It was the perfect way to end our time in Glacier National Park.
