Searching for the best of both worlds when it comes to choosing between an elopement and a traditional wedding? Haley and Josh had the right idea with their honeymoon adventure session in Glacier National Park. This East Coast duo decided to have a traditional, family-oriented wedding back home, but they weren’t ready to miss out on their dream of adventuring around Northwest Montana.

When Haley and Josh first inquired on my website, they were toying with the idea of eloping in Glacier National Park. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned after photographing nearly 200 weddings and elopements throughout the years (and as a past elopement-bride myself), it’s that juggling logistics can be hard. While planning an elopement can be less stressful than planning a traditional wedding, it still can feel overwhelming. So when Haley and Josh were torn between eloping or having a traditional wedding, it ended up just making more sense for them to honeymoon in Glacier National Park, rather than have a destination wedding or elopement.
Exploring Glacier National Park alongside Haley and Josh made for such a fun day. They couldn’t have chosen a better day for their session — we lucked out with the bluest skies overhead, with warm sunshine drenching our skin. If you’re an avid reader of the blog, you’ll know just how unpredictable the weather can be in Northwest Montana. So it was a huge blessing to experience such a perfect early Fall day in the park. We started our time together in East Glacier, making numerous stops on our way as we traveled to Lake McDonald for the dreamiest sunset. Haley and Josh were absolutely radiant, and made my job entirely too easy.
