Ashley and Eric are the perfect example of “right person, wrong time”. These two Nevada-natives first tied the knot in 2020 before deciding to go their separate ways. But before they knew it, they found their way back to each other again. To seal the deal for the final time, they decided to elope in Glacier National Park. Ashley and Eric’s Hungry Horse Reservoir spring elopement was exactly what they had pictured. From a laidback private vow exchange on the shores of the Hungry Horse Reservoir, to exploring Glacier National Park hand-in-hand, it couldn’t have been sweeter.

Hungry Horse Reservoir Spring Elopement | Northwest Montana Wedding
On a beautiful sunny day in the middle of May, Ashley and Eric arrived at Hungry Horse Reservoir to exchange vows on the shore. Eric helped fasten the delicate buttons that trailed up the back of Ashley’s beautiful lace wedding dress. After slipping on her chic high-heeled cowboy boots, the couple made their way down to the shore to exchange their vows.
With snowcapped mountains in the background, bright blue water and new life emerging for the spring, it was the perfect early afternoon. The smiles on the bride and groom’s faces spoke for themselves — they were at such peace and ready to officially spend the rest of their lives together.
We snagged newlywed portraits around Hungry Horse Reservoir, basking in the sunshine before driving to the east side of Glacier National Park. We hit many of the best photo ops on our drive. Our first stop was Running Eagle Falls in Two Medicine for some dreamy bridal portraits. Some cloud coverage rolled in, but I loved to moody atmosphere it created down at the waterfall. Ashley’s cowboy hat placed over her veil was such a fun vibe, and her florals were absolutely gorgeous.

We spent some time at Two Medicine Lake before making a pit stop at Looking Glass Hill. The views were truly unreal. My time with Ashley and Eric wrapped up with sunset at Sun Point, portraits at a breathtaking overlook, and blue hour in a wide-open field. It was the perfect way to conclude their spring elopement.
Capturing Ashley and Eric’s Hungry Horse Reservoir spring elopement was such an honor. I think the only thing I love more than being in Glacier National Park is documenting a love story in the park. It was such a joy to document such a beautiful chapter in Ashley and Eric’s love story.
